What is USDT on TRON (TRC-20) and how to deposit it

USDT (Tether) is a stablecoin: one token is designed to stay equal to one US dollar. It exists on several blockchains, and the version Worldwide Wallet uses is USDT on the TRON network, also called TRC-20. TRON is popular for stablecoin transfers because a transaction usually confirms in under a minute and costs a fraction of what other networks charge.

Why only TRC-20

Every network is a separate ledger. USDT sent on Ethereum (ERC-20) or BNB Chain (BEP-20) never arrives at a TRON address, and there is no way to recover it. That is why the wallet shows one address and one network, and why every exchange asks you to pick the network before withdrawing. If you see a choice, pick TRON (TRC-20).

How a deposit works

1. Open the wallet and tap Deposit. You will see your personal TRC-20 address and a QR code.
2. In the exchange or wallet you are sending from, choose USDT, network TRON, and paste the address. Always compare the first and last four characters after pasting.
3. Send. The TRON network confirms the transaction within a minute or two. Your balance updates automatically after confirmation.

The deposit address is yours permanently, so you can reuse it. A network fee of a fixed amount in USDT is deducted from each deposit; the exact figure is shown on the deposit screen before you send.

What to check before sending

• Network: TRON / TRC-20, nothing else.
• Token: USDT. Sending TRX or other tokens will not credit your balance.
• Address: copy it from the app, never type it by hand.
• Amount: the exchange may charge its own withdrawal fee; the amount that arrives is what gets credited, minus the network fee.

After the deposit

Once the balance is updated you can issue a Stable Card, send money to a friend by username, or withdraw to another TRON address. All of it works from the same balance.
